Abstract
The formation of intracardic thrombi in infants with cogenital heart disease is quite uncommon. We describe an infant with hypoplastic left heart syndrome in whom a left atrial thrombus developed over the course of 5 days. It is speculated that this thrombus contributed to the death of this patient before palliative surgical intervention.
